Wet Wet Kids

Almond Chu and pH5 Photo Group present sixteen latest studio works on Cosplay Kids in Shanghai Street Artspace. This exhibition provides an anthropological investigation and disciplined scrutiny into the subversive street fashion of local teenagers; the life-sized bodyscapes rendered by Chu range from tattoos to the fetish of SM and Lolita costumes. Isolated from street scenes and replaced by a clinical white backdrop, Chu ’s subjects with their attire became a strong fashion statement full of subculture symbols.
