Random Lift Button

Chris Speed is a British artist/researcher who investigates the relation between space, time and architecture through conceptual approaches. The Random Lift Button is a project in which Speed installed an R button in an elevator. By pressing it, people are taken to a random floor. The Random Lift Button project was conceived as an opportunity to exemplify further the role of space at the mercy of time.

Random Lift Button adli projesinde Speed, asansore bir R tu$u yerle$tiriyor ve bu tu$a basildiginda asansor Rastgele bir kata cikiyor. Bu ilginc cali$manin arkasinda kapitalizmin getirdigi hizli ya$am, rastgelelik ve mekanin zamanin acimasina kalmi$ olmasi gibi yuzeyde pek gorulmeyen ilginc fikirler var. Buyuk bir $irketin asansorune gerilla stiliyle bunu yapmak ve insanlarin toplantilarina gec kalmasini seyretmek ilginc olabilirdi.
